Entry Level - Software Developer

Overview of the Role:

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is in search of a driven Software Developer to contribute to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be integrated into our Agile software development group, focusing on the Object Management Service (OMS) while promoting the effective application of Agile methodologies.

The Object Management Service (OMS) provides a secure and contemporary API designed for efficient object production and management. The architecture of the program is founded on discrete analytics, storage, and data microservices, facilitating seamless integration across various missions and applications. Your contributions will involve essential knowledge-sharing tools for the client with practical applications. The tools developed by the team are highly visible and foster collaboration among multiple partners, utilized in daily operations throughout the customer and the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Your efforts will enable real-time data updates and sharing, supporting more informed and timely decisions in national security matters.

Experience and Qualifications:

To qualify for this challenging position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2 years of experience and an Associate's Degree or;
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders, team members, and executives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud architecture, particularly AWS EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, and Elastic Search.
  • Comptia Security+ or DoD8570 Baseline equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of software development and technical concepts to facilitate effective communication among team members.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar.

Telework/Remote Availability: Telework/Remote work not currently authorized.

Work Location: National Capital Region (NCR); Washington, DC; Reston, VA; Annapolis Junction, MD.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$80,000 - $85,000
