Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our nursing staff to create a comprehensive Plan of Care.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physician orders and administer medications as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively is essential.
