Surgical Care Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with our surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty
  • Experience in surgical care and a strong understanding of surgical principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
