Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Stuyvesant Falls, NY.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality patient care in the surgical department, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including ordering diagnostic tests and medications as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
