Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnosis through the performance of clinical laboratory testing.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, including quality control, preventative maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
- Conduct inventory control and statistical compilation, and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide laboratory education and training to new employees, and participate in proficiency testing as assigned.
- Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- ASCP certification or equivalent, with certification maintained without lapse during employment.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technology.
