Position Overview

The Human Services Program Lecturer and Coordinator at Troy Public Radio is tasked with delivering educational courses across a diverse curriculum. This includes subjects such as Human Behavior in the Social Environment (HBSE), Professional Communication, Research Methodologies, and Case Management, along with specialized classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of courses within the Human Services discipline.
  • Oversee field education and provide mentorship to students.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities to contribute to the academic community.
  • Facilitate the daily operations of the Human Services Program.
  • Provide service to the University and the broader community.

Work Status

This is a full-time position with responsibilities that may include both in-person and online teaching.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of direct service experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing emerging technological methods for course delivery, including online education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Doctorate degree or ABD in a human services-related field, accompanied by a Master's in Human Services.
  • Experience in developing post-secondary courses.
  • Familiarity with post-secondary accreditation processes.

Additional Information

Driving may be required occasionally, but it is not a primary duty of this role. Work hours will be determined based on class schedules, office hours, and advising commitments.
