We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Operations Specialist to join our team at Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance tasks, including process control, monitoring systems, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and control systems
- Monitor and control chemical dosages in water basins, and test water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing worn-out parts
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth plant operations and resolve any issues that may arise
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience in a similar work environment
- Ability to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator License from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) within one year of employment
- Valid current Texas Class C Driver License
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
