Product Engineer Early Talent

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Eaton. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical design and documentation support for power distribution or control product lines. This includes engineering designs, collaborating with application engineers and manufacturing associates, utilizing design automation software, and producing/maintaining manufacturing documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
Develop complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, providing sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser's equipment application.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
Advise Drafting/Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser's requirements.
Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and/or release equipment for shipping.
Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).
Consult with Quality in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature.
Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
Conduct technical training guidance and seminars, as required.
Analyze needs and recommend revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation before August 2025.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of related experience completed at the time of this application.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing Internship/Co-Op experience.
Knowledge of power distribution products (LV and MV Switchgear, Panelboards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.).
Experience with PLC or relay programming.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Project Management experience.
