We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify client developmental status.
- Provide direct services and activities tailored to the needs of children 0-3 and their families.
- Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with a focus on the child's development.
- Complete progress notes, reports, and assessments as required.
- Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers with developmental delays.
- Assess family and child strengths, concerns, and progress.
- Act as a service coordinator for families, scheduling and implementing intervention plans.
- Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions.
Requirements:
- Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist.
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, parents, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Abide by confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
