Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures, documenting findings in the medical record.
  • Collect and process specimens, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Assist with special procedures and examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized examination environment, restocking supplies and checking equipment.
  • Participate in pre-visit chart preparation, ensuring required lab results and documentation are available.
  • Perform various clerical functions, including filing, processing insurance forms, and photocopying.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assisting program at an accredited school, or 1-3 years of medical assistant experience, or 1-3 years of Emergency Medical Technician experience with current NYS DOH EMT certification, or 1-3 years of CNA experience with valid Current Nursing Assistant Certification in New York State.
