Vivid Impact is a leading graphic communications company seeking a skilled Prepress Operator to join our team. As a Prepress Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality output files are produced for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepress Job Management: Efficiently manage and complete multiple prepress jobs daily to meet the proof/print schedule.
- Image Inspection and Proofing: Inspect images and content for imperfections, operate proofing machines with precision, and ensure all output meets quality standards before final proofing.
- File Layout and Preflight: Layout files for printing on various presses, including Litho and Digital, based on specific client specifications. Handle preflight checks and plating processes as necessary.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the E-commerce team, customer service representatives, and other departmental peers to ensure seamless production flow. Provide timely updates and communicate effectively with all team members.
- Autonomy and Teamwork: Capable of working autonomously and as an integral member of the Prepress Team, following best practices and contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Prepress Operator/Technician with extensive experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat on a MAC platform.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Prinergy, Preps, Metrix, and SmartStream is highly advantageous.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in graphic design or print technology is preferred.
