The role of a Chief Analytics Officer is to serve as the senior advisor to key clients, senior client stakeholders, and Golin leadership. Key responsibilities include driving thought leadership and facilitating effective decision-making to meet clients' communication and business objectives.

In this high-visibility position, you will work with diverse teams and partner cross-functionally with account management, creative, strategy, and media specialists. Our ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in data-driven marketing and communications analysis, exceptional communication and presentation skills, a background in developing new offerings, and a proven ability to cultivate client relationships, alongside strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and take initiative to proactively identify and resolve challenges while forecasting new methods to measure business impact, collaborating with account leads to propose new opportunities and enhance workflows.
  • Lead client analytics projects (timeliness, quality, profitability, team management): planning, managing, guiding, and presenting a variety of analytic projects from inception to completion in close collaboration with supporting analysts and account leads.
  • Formulate analytical strategies to address business challenges and provide thought leadership, including the development and delivery of analytic roadmaps and project plans.
  • Build rapport and trust with key client personnel, ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership, as well as internal account leads and supporting analysts.
  • Exhibit exceptional storytelling skills: synthesizing diverse data sets for comprehensive views, presenting data visually and creatively, and crafting impactful presentations with concise narratives and actionable insights aligned with business goals.
  • Manage multiple resources and projects simultaneously toward successful completion, including ongoing core workstreams and urgent, ad-hoc requests.
  • Serve as an analytics authority, encompassing:
  • Digital analytics across earned, owned, and paid media; web, mobile, email, social, and media.
  • Measurement expertise including framework development, benchmarking, KPI setting, reporting, dashboards, and attribution.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant social and media analytics tools (for monitoring, CRM, social engagement, audience intelligence, data visualization).
  • Experience in analyzing social content performance for paid and organic posts across various platforms.
  • Stay current with all social platforms and key media developments, able to identify emerging trends in the social, media, and consumer landscape.
  • Collaborate with lead Strategists (head of Analytics; lead Planner) to guide overall team management, participate in recruitment, mentorship, and career development, and serve as a Strategist representative to contribute to new business initiatives and share best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or qualitative field (e.g., Consumer Insights, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent years of relevant professional experience in data analytics with a demonstrated passion for digital and experience as a primary contact for multiple concurrent client relationships.
  • 12+ years of experience, preferably within an Advertising, PR, or digital marketing agency.
  • 10+ years of proven managerial/supervisory experience with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships based on trust and mutual respect with junior and mid-level team members.
  • Ability to effectively delegate and manage team workloads and responsibilities based on skill sets and growth opportunities.
  • Exemplifies a servant leadership mindset, prioritizing the well-being of the team and organization, fostering team career development and growth, and effectively managing diverse personalities and goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate appropriate analytic solutions to address business needs and experience successfully presenting them to clients.
