Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and handle referrals for patients, insurance verifications, and OB payment plans.
  • Coordinate and schedule all incoming referrals.
  • Create and maintain OB payment plans.
  • Release of records for incoming and outgoing medical record requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medical record disclosure.
  • Communicate and collaborate with multiple departments as needed to ensure all referrals are facilitated.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience in a medical practice in insurance processing and follow up.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, managed care organizations, and insurance carriers' requirements.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of computer and job-related software.
