Clinical Services Specialist

The Clinician will conduct mental health assessments, provide ongoing individual and group counseling services, screen for human trafficking concerns, and provide crisis intervention services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effectiveness of clinical services.
- Conduct initial client intakes and assessments, including assessing appropriate levels of care, recommending referrals, trauma screening, and human trafficking screenings.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to clients.
- Represent the program in clinical providers meetings.
- Facilitate foster parent trainings as needed.
- Provide emergency on-call backup support for case managers as needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent managerial skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
- Cultural competence.
A Master of Social Work (MSW) or a master's degree in psychology, sociology, or a relevant behavioral science with clinical experience is required. The candidate must be licensed or license-eligible to provide clinical services in Connecticut, such as LCSW, LPC, or LC. At least two years of postgraduate direct service experience with a child or adolescent population is also required. Bilingual skills are necessary.
