Job Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (adjunct) faculty position in Business. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes in Business and Management courses
  • Help students achieve their academic goals and master course content
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in Business and Management
  • Participate in faculty governance and contribute to curriculum development and review
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean
Requirements
  1. A master's degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, or Business Education; OR, a bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a master's degree in Economics, Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR, a bachelor's degree in Economics with a Business Emphasis AND a master's degree in Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR the equivalent
  2. An equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
