Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at UrgenCare LLC, you will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to our standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and clean them afterwards.
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history and record it in their files.
  • Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements, and blood pressure checks.
  • Draw blood, remove sutures, and change dressings as needed.
  • Administer medications and vaccines ordered by the provider, under proper supervision.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, communicating with the inventory manager when supplies are low.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
  • Properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Assist physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and materials.
  • Review providers' imaging orders and prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust equipment to obtain optimal views.
  • Process exposed radiographs using computer-generated methods.
  • Inform the practice manager or supervisor of any equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain adequate radiologic supplies.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as producing discs of imaging studies and labeling films.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred.
