Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Transporter to join our team. This role is an integral part of our healthcare setting service, transporting patients to and from various nursing units, clinics, and diagnostic and therapeutic units.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient escort assignments through electronic systems like EPIC.
  • Escort patients to their designated areas, introducing yourself and explaining the nature of the assignment.
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, including those with intravenous apparatus.
  • Maintain control of patient charts and release them only to authorized personnel.
  • Transport bodies to the mortuary, specimens, blood products, and medical equipment to requested areas.
Requirements
  • Elementary school graduation or equivalent ability to effectively communicate with patients.
  • Ability to keep simple clinical records.
  • Knowledge of patient transport requests from electronic systems.
  • Clear communication skills with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Able to maneuver patients safely in wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
