Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Exercise Physiologist I to join our team in Round Rock, TX. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary Rehab Clinic, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning preventative and rehabilitative healthcare for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care by observing and assessing the patient's condition, performing patient care interventions, and educating patients and their families about the nature, care, and treatment of the patient's condition.
  • Assess the condition of assigned patients by obtaining medical history, interviewing patients and family members, and through observation.
  • Develop exercise prescriptions consistent with the assessment of the patient's condition and complementary to the medical plan of care and the patient's goals.
  • Perform appropriate exercise tolerance testing on various patient populations and follow appropriate procedures and guidelines when performing tests.
  • Implement a plan of care by teaching patients how to perform prescribed exercises, reassess and evaluate patient response to exercise, and modify exercise prescription as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology or related fitness specialized field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical/healthcare related setting.
  • Nationally recognized certification required (ACSM exercise physiologist certification preferred).
  • Ability to work exclusively and follow protocol, define challenges, examine problems, and develop and implement solutions in a proactive and positive manner.
