Reservations Sales Agent

At Montage International, we're looking for a skilled Reservations Sales Agent to join our team. As the voice of the hotel, you'll be the first point of contact for guests booking reservations. Your exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take guest reservations in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Accurately input and organize reservation information, including rooming lists, internet requests, and sales department communications.
  • Accommodate in-house guest requests and maintain accurate logs of special requests.
  • Answer and direct in-bound calls, using email and fax systems as needed.
  • Understand the selling strategy for the hotel, including room inventory and yield management techniques.
  • Process rooming lists and group reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare group guest lists prior to arrival and control room blocks as needed.
  • Aggressively sell hotel rooms to maximize transient room revenue using up-selling and yield management techniques.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a customer service role required.
  • Previous experience working in an upscale hotel preferred.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, required.
Physical Requirements:

Most work tasks are performed indoors, with moderate temperature control. Must be able to sit for up to 6 hours a day and occasionally walk or stand. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds regularly.
