Fundraising Vice President, Development

As a key member of the Alzheimer's Association team, the Fundraising Vice President, Development will drive success and achieve revenue goals through positive engagement with staff and community volunteer leaders. This role requires a proven sales and relationship management professional who can identify and cultivate relationships with key community leaders and C-Suite corporate partners effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals, greater community participation, and heightened brand awareness. They will also have successfully recruited, managed, and coached volunteers to effectively implement best and proven practices to achieve fundraising goals.
This position is based in Arlington, VA, and the successful candidate will work closely with Chapter and cross-functional leadership to develop ambitious, comprehensive development strategies and goals that align with the Association's strategic plan and deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive development strategies and goals that align with the Association's strategic plan
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key community leaders and C-Suite corporate partners
- Recruit, manage, and coach volunteers to effectively implement best and proven practices to achieve fundraising goals
- Work closely with Chapter and cross-functional leadership to develop and implement event growth strategies
- Contribute to the development of the Association's strategic plan and budget
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals or 3-5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy
