Position Overview:


As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in aiding the Store Manager in managing the financial success of a RaceTrac location.

Your focus will be on fulfilling RaceTrac's commitment to enhancing customer experiences through exceptional service, quality food offerings, maintaining cleanliness, nurturing talent, and driving operational success.

Daily pay options are available for your convenience.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Foster an atmosphere of prompt, efficient, and courteous service while effectively managing conflicts.

Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members, customers, and suppliers.

Communicate with respect and uphold a consistent team-oriented mindset.

Address and resolve any customer concerns during your shifts promptly, involving relevant regional team members as necessary.

Ensure a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience for every customer.

Process customer transactions efficiently at the register or self-checkout, and recommend complementary products.

Food Service:
Drive excellence in food service by implementing processes, setting sales and margin goals, ensuring product quality, and utilizing training resources effectively.

Guarantee that all food offerings are available and that preparation areas and equipment are clean and well-maintained.

Store Cleanliness:
Promote and uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the store.

Oversee adherence to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety regulations, including those related to food safety.

Execute shift responsibilities, maintain overall presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand positively.

Team Leadership:
Exemplify RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.

Demonstrate leadership qualities by adopting a servant-leader approach, prioritizing tasks effectively, going above and beyond for customers and your team, listening actively, and communicating respectfully while solving problems proactively.

Guide the coaching, training, and evaluation of team members while adhering to operational standards.

Provide constructive feedback and recommendations regarding employee performance and development to the Store Manager.

Operational Success:
Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee inventory control and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies.

Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries.

Utilize company-provided tools to mentor and develop a high-performing store team.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).

3-5 years of experience in food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory roles; retail management experience is preferred.

1+ years of management experience is preferred.

Experience in a high-volume, customer-focused, transactional environment is preferred.

Knowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall store financial performance.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Understanding of Labor Laws and staffing best practices.

Ability to take initiative.

Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, standing, and reaching tasks.

May be required to obtain and maintain a food handler permit, based on local or state regulations.

May be required to obtain and maintain an alcohol server permit, based on local or state regulations.
