About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our kitchen operations by preparing and portioning ingredients for cooking, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, and adhering to our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and portion a variety of ingredients for cooking, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Understand and comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Refer to the Daily Prep List for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists, and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to the Chef.
Requirements for Success
  • A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • A positive energy and a willingness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player.
  • The ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
  • A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
