Role SummaryThe primary function of this position is to assist the Quality Assurance Department by bridging communication between the Japanese and U.S. divisions. This role entails aiding in the gathering, documentation, and presentation of technical information.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and document technical data to uphold quality standards.
- Review daily production reports related to Tire Building Machines.
- Record daily metrics on defective items and repairs, supplying management with comprehensive reports.
- Compile information and generate reports on consistency and dynamic unbalance.
- Conduct, document, and evaluate reports on Return Tire Acceptance, NCF Credit Requests, and NCF Mixed Pallets.
- Produce reports on TBM and curing specifications.
- Assist the Technical department with IP/ATOM Transfer requests, including palletized status and buyback processes.
- Maintain records of daily curing counts and drum test outcomes.
- Update and manage controlled documents as required by various production and support teams.
- Collaborate with the QA Manager to identify and address quality performance trends based on recorded data.
- Coordinate with production teams to communicate product specifications and quality trends.
- Engage with management, engineering, expatriates, and other personnel regarding quality-related information.
- Utilize statistical techniques to report and forecast quality results.
Exemplify effective execution of all responsibilities associated with this role.
QualificationsTo succeed in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Education and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree (B.S.) with one to two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language ProficiencyFluency in both Japanese and English, with the ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents, as well as communicate information effectively.
Mathematical SkillsProficiency in applying advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, and quadratic equations. Capability to perform mathematical operations related to frequency distribution, test reliability, variance analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning SkillsAbility to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Competence in interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and managing several abstract and concrete variables.
