We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at OTC Industrial Technologies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and training our warehouse staff to enhance performance, managing day-to-day operations, and overseeing tasks such as inventory control, order fulfillment, and accurate shipping.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and train warehouse staff to improve individual and group performance
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision of the warehouse
- Delegates work and provides coaching as directed
- Pull customer pick tickets with accuracy
- Responsible for inventory controls, including daily and weekly cycle counts
- Stage kits for production
- Responsible for order fulfillment and shipping accuracies individually and as a team
- Work with customer service, operations, and procurement teams to facilitate customer credits and vendor returns
- Rectify issues related to shortages or damages
- Perform and/or work with the warehouse team on building maintenance projects, general upkeep, and trash disposal
- Assist or lead continuous improvement, 5S, and LEAN activities
- Interact with walk-in customers, pick-up or will-call customers
- Assist with responsive communication of any warehouse-related questions or issues to salesmen or customer service management and staff
- Assist in meeting monthly goals on the operations scorecard
- Assist in maintaining, developing, and daily implementation of procedures and processes to ensure consistent and expected results
- Responsible for building and equipment maintenance projects within the scope of general upkeep, trash disposal, etc.
- Assume responsibilities of other warehouse associates in the event of PTO usage or unexpected absence
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or high school diploma with two years of related experience, or relevant combination of education and experience
- Ability to lead a team; preferred prior leadership experience
- Ability to perform or quickly gain knowledge of all base warehouse functions
- Proven experience in implementing operational processes
- Proven project management, administrative management, and organizational skills
- Proven experience utilizing an ERP
- Preferred experience within an industrial distribution and/or manufacturing environment
- Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, including accurate data entry skills
- Capable of working independently, as well as a team member
- Interact with coworkers with a positive attitude to maintain a friendly and productive work environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to understand written and oral English and be proficient with computer, email, spreadsheets, and lookup documents online
- Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
