The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various patient populations, including medical and surgical cases. The PA will provide patient care in the Emergency Department on a rotating schedule, working under the direct supervision of an attending Emergency Medicine physician.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel patients, and interact with family members and colleagues.
- Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
- Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Provide high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
- Certified Physician Assistant (State License) upon hire required.
- Experience as a Physician Assistant 0-1 year preferred.
