About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Engineer Aeronautical Systems to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Aeronautical Systems team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced aeronautical systems, including air vehicle production and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of air vehicle production and sustainment strategies, including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with program execution.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
  • Develop and adhere to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of related experience, or a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related experience.
  • Related experience in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience as a team lead and/or management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management processes.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance granted or renewed within the last 6 years or is enrolled in continuous evaluation.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams as well as multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Engineering/Technical background/understanding.
  • Logistics Experience (Supply support/Spares provisioning/Operations/Maintenance/CLS).
  • US Navy acquisition process knowledge (POM cycle, colors or money).
  • Successfully demonstrated balancing customer, employee, and shareholder objectives.
