Senior CAD Engineer

As a Senior CAD Engineer - DV Emulation, you will be responsible for developing and applying Computer Aided Design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. You will work with RTL, architecture, design, DV, software, and silicon verification users to define, drive, and incorporate the latest design solutions in the emulation domain to improve productivity and time to market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques to investigate and solve technical problems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, drive, and incorporate the latest design solutions in the emulation domain.
- Interface with various cross-functional teams and external vendors to adopt the most optimal solutions.
- Modify and/or develop complex tools and workflows that improve productivity and efficiency of design teams.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to questions and issues from customers (e.g., design engineers).
- Perform root cause analyses on complex customer problems to identify underlying issues and interact with external vendors.
- Maximize the utilization of emulation and FPGA-based prototyping infrastructure while maintaining stability and meeting resource sharing constraints.
- Debug software issues and escalate only highly complex technical issues to technical leads or Principal Engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the field of Hardware Emulation.
- 5+ years of experience in CAD tool/flow development.
- 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc.
- 4+ years of experience with scripting and automation environments.
- 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- 1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
