About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our occupational medicine team at MBI Industrial Medicine. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients and driving the success of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to patients in our clinics and via telemedicine, adhering to established clinical practices and organizational plans.
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers, including medical record review, direct supervision, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct thorough history and physical exams, including vision, hearing, and electrocardiograms, to determine capacity for job functions.
  • Offer medical opinions on job accommodations and provide medical opinions on job-related injuries.
  • Review and interpret X-rays, perform Fit for Duty evaluations, and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries.
Leadership and Development

As a leader, you will be responsible for clinical and quality oversight, identifying improvement opportunities, and working with clinical leadership to implement changes. You will also leverage clinical guidance to resolve provider quality issues and attend weekly Clinic Leadership Team meetings.

Work Environment

Our clinics offer a sustainable schedule, allowing time for detailed patient assessments, communication with employers, and collaboration with treatment teams. We have on-site X-ray, procedure rooms, and slit lamps, as well as a developed specialist referral network and dedicated center administrators.

Requirements
  • MD/DO degree
  • Occupational medicine experience preferred, but we will train qualified candidates with experience in UC, FP, IM, ER, Sports Medicine, or Ortho
  • CO DOWC Level I & II accreditation preferred, required within 6 months of hire
  • FMCSA certification for DOT exams preferred, required within 60 days of hire
  • Current state licensure in good standing and DEA licensure
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer use, and Electronic Medical Records systems
