Job Description

Job Summary:

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents, conducting site inspections, and preparing daily progress reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents and health and safety plans.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Utilize computers and common office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear required personal protective gear/equipment.
  • React to hazardous warnings and signals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education.
  • Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred certifications: BS Civil Engineering, NICET Level 2 or higher, NECEPT Bituminous field certification, ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification, PennDOT/PTC CDS certification, ECMS experience, OSHA 10-Hour certification.
