About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees and supervise the training and development of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and coordinate and lead the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff, and set and track staff and department target dates.
  • Mentor and coach as needed, and assist with the development of company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Work with business partners, operational, global shared services team members, and executive sponsors to develop, coordinate, and implement strategy at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of large quantities of goods and services.
  • Oversee the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals, and inform peers and corporate management staff of changes or results.
  • Handle supplier and contractor certification process, conduct periodic visits to high-profile supplier work locations to review vendor performance, and approve and manage costs related to the service provider.
  • Mentor and educate on outsourcing practices and the value of applying them, and manage issues and expectations across a broad range of abilities, locations, and cultures.
  • Review all RTFs, and select solutions, and agreements, and approve contracts with national and regional service providers.
  • Ensure contracts adhere to company standards, and improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility required.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and extensive interpersonal skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.
  • Advanced math skills, and ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
