Nurse Practitioner for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering IV ketamine, coupled with a passion for mental health and a deep commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine suitability for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
- Prepare and administer IV ketamine in accordance with clinic protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patients closely during treatment sessions for any adverse reactions or complications, providing immediate and appropriate interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive care plan.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential effects of ketamine, and post-treatment care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the clinic's ketamine program, including protocol refinement and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
- Current and unrestricted DEA license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience administering IV medications, with specific experience in IV ketamine administration for psychotherapy purposes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health conditions and a holistic approach to mental health care.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
- ACLS certification required.
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment.
