About the Role

Moderna is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facility operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facility's infrastructure, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance to support process equipment and systems, in accordance with established procedures and/or approved practices.
  • Support efforts in developing remediation for follow-up and emergency work.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, and develop preventive maintenance plans.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure, and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of facility systems.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Military training equivalent of above is acceptable.
  • Previous experience in a cGMP environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with documentation practices used in a GMP environment.
  • Experience documenting work in a CMMS (MAXIMO) preferable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
