Snow Peak Inc is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our flagship store in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales growth, and promoting our brand values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience for all customers
  • Drive sales growth by connecting with customers, assessing their needs, and making relevant merchandise suggestions
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, staying up-to-date on materials, styles, fit, fabrics, price, and trends in the outdoor and fashion industry
  • Strengthen our brand presence by encouraging customers to engage with social media and email marketing
  • Process customer transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and excellent point-of-sale/cash-handling skills
  • Handle customer service complaints, refunds, and questions, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, fitting rooms, window displays, cash-wrap areas, and back of house
  • Apply knowledge of retail KPIs to drive achievement of established sales targets
  • Execute all operational processes effectively and efficiently, including shipment processing, back stock replenishment, inventory counts, and loss prevention
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a retail environment
  • Extraordinary customer service skills
  • Basic mathematics and financial knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of operating personal computers, POS systems, and various software packages, including MS Office
  • Reliable and professional demeanor
  • Friendly and engaging with all types of people
  • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, high-growth working environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to take initiative and be resourceful
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Shopify
  • Experience with Japanese language and culture
  • Experience in the outdoor, retail, or apparel industries
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Effective communication with a diverse audience in person, by phone, and using computer
