Aircraft Propeller Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Propeller Technician to join our client's team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft propellers, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair, and overhaul aircraft propellers in line with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Disassemble and reassemble propellers, ensuring thorough cleaning, inspection, and testing of all components.
  • Conduct dynamic balancing and functional testing to optimize propeller performance.
  • Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
  • Stay current with industry standards and advancements in propeller technology.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in aviation maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft propeller maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Experience with various types of propellers, including fixed-pitch, constant-speed, and feathering propellers.
  • Familiarity with dynamic balancing equipment and techniques.

This is a full-time position, and the ideal candidate will be able to work on 1st shift, primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Schedule flexibility may be discussed at the time of offer.
