F-16 Maintenance Supervisor Role

As a F-16 Maintenance Supervisor at AAR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of aircraft maintenance and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems, technical data, and supply procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assign program workloads and duties for entire shifts of workers performing aircraft maintenance, repair, inspection, and modifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of supply procedures, Service Bulletins/Letters, and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Utilize technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Ensure knowledge of F-16 aircraft avionics and electrical systems, as well as landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging, and aircraft movement.
  • Read and speak English, comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements apply to this position:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will meet one of the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • An Associate's degree plus 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
