Job Summary

This is a support position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for assigned communities. The Assistant Community Manager will summarize details in written reports or computer files, reconcile and balance monthly reports, and compile statistics on cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business.

Essential Job Functions
  • Posting all funds collected and making daily deposits.
  • Preparing and delivering legal notices on the appropriate date allowed by the lease contract.
  • Maintaining accurate and current delinquency reports.
  • Processing NSF checks and notifying residents.
  • Completing move-out procedures, including assessing and charging for existing damage or cleaning.
  • Closing the books monthly and reviewing and reconciling monthly reports.
  • Assisting leasing associates with leasing efforts, including coordinating move-in dates and generating traffic through marketing calls.
  • Obtaining renewals on expiring leases.
  • Assisting the Community Manager with resident activities and communication.
  • Reporting to work on time with a neat and professional appearance.
  • Being courteous and pleasant to residents and associates at all times.
  • Thoroughly understanding and completing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Understanding the Community Manager's role and reporting requirements.
  • Understanding and abiding by all Fair Housing Laws.
Skills and Abilities
  • Applying principles of rational systems to solve practical problems.
  • Mastery of computer and associated software packages.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent sitting, standing, climbing, and descending stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Up-close and distance vision.
