The Quality Control Assistant Manager / Site Safety and Health Officer plays a vital role in supporting the management and execution of daily quality control and safety tasks for various projects. This position is essential in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to established standards and specifications. The individual will collaborate closely with the Construction Quality Control Manager to maintain compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and manage the project submittal log along with all relevant quality control documentation
  • Evaluate shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with project specifications
  • Record and document weekly quality control meetings with the project superintendent
  • Generate daily quality control reports and address any non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Facilitate preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to clarify standards of care for each construction feature
Qualifications:
  • Degree in engineering or construction management is preferred
  • Certification in USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors is required
  • Current OSHA 30 Certification is necessary
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction sector or 1 year of internship with a general contractor
  • Familiarity with civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
  • Proficient in construction-related software applications
Note: This position is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, transitioning to a permanent role within a three-month timeframe.
