Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our surgical team as a Perioperative LPN. In this role, you will assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room, ensuring a high standard of safety for patients and staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention
- Perform perioperative teaching to patients and significant others
- Demonstrate appropriate nursing management and intervention in the perioperative period
- Prepare operating room, ensure availability of needed supplies and equipment, and maintain a safe working environment
- Provide patient care across the age span, including safe medication administration and positioning
- Participate in medical records QAPI and demonstrate a willingness to look at new ideas and work in a changing environment
Requirements:
- Active LPN license
- BLS and ALS certified
- IV Skills (desired)
