Job Summary

GeorgiaGov is seeking a dedicated Health Aide to join our team. This role involves providing basic patient care and supporting individuals with daily living skills in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to individuals in various areas, including daily living skills and medication management.
  • Complete required documentation in patient and unit records, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Observe and maintain awareness of individuals' behavior and physical whereabouts to ensure their safety and security.
  • Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities, both on and off campus.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe, secure, clean, and attractive environment for individuals, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist with admitting and orienting new individuals to units, providing a smooth transition.
  • Conduct activities for recreation and socialization, promoting a positive and engaging environment.
  • Provide assistance with walking, exercising, and moving individuals in and out of bed.
  • Assist with identifying individuals in medication lines and collecting bodily fluid specimens.
  • Conduct environment rounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and crisis de-escalation.
  • Serve on hospital-wide committees and participate in group facilitation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in mental health and/or substance abuse settings.
