Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Stepdown team at our Lewes, DE location. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes, advocating for patients and families as needed.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing technical skills and clinical judgment to assess, analyze, and communicate patient information.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate patient safety risks, implementing appropriate safety interventions and completing safety tracking tools as required.
  • Supervise assigned staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities while maintaining accountability for patient care.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing written and verbal instructions and documenting education provided.
  • Perform ongoing review and implementation of patient orders, prioritizing responsibilities and seeking resources as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.
  • 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a stepdown or cardiothoracic surgery unit.
  • Ability to perform CPR, ACLS, and BLS certification, as well as NIH and PCCN certification within 2 years of start date.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
