  • Complete all tasks on the prep list in the specified order provided by the Head Chef or kitchen manager, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on easily accessible shelves, maintaining a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and sorting fruits, vegetables, and meats, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency and flavor in our dishes.
  • Assist in parboiling food, reducing sauces, and starting initial steps in various dishes, working closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware, take out the trash, and sanitize the kitchen area, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards at all times, upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Maintain a record of ingredient inventory and coordinate with the kitchen and management team for ordering resupplies, ensuring seamless inventory management and minimizing waste.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
