About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team at Bob's Discount Furniture, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment, including forklifts and other industrial machinery
- Perform general building maintenance tasks, such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Report any safety concerns or issues to management
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of forklift and industrial equipment repair and operation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
