Service Advisor Job Description

At Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich, we are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Fixed Operations Manager in day-to-day operations, including scheduling and distribution of work for technicians.
  • Utilize Service Scheduler and other tools to generate and manage work orders.
  • Use manufacturer flat rate guides and Standard Service Operation (SSO) to determine the time allotted for repairs and follow up on timely completion.
  • Ensure that the Complaint, Cause, and Correction of each problem are noted in the work order.
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner and return all customer calls prior to the close of business each day.
  • Inspect the quality of work performed as required, prior to delivery to the customer if needed.
  • Finalize and invoice work orders.
  • Track and maintain service program compliance within GM.
Requirements:
  • Positive outlook and attitude every day.
  • Technical automotive knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others.
  • Organized and friendly personality.
  • Dealership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor is a huge plus.
  • Reynolds & Reynolds system knowledge a plus.
