Position Overview:
The primary role of this position is to serve as the main coordinator for the Emergency Medicine elective clerkship and to manage a significant Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, which includes collaboration with a Senior Coordinator for the same program and oversight of fewer than 50 house officers.

The incumbent will also provide specialized administrative assistance to the faculty within the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent (consideration will be given to six years of education and related experience, which must include some program/project coordination).

Required Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, including some program/project coordination experience. (Combination of six years of education and related experience is acceptable, which must include program/project coordination).

Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Commitment to continual improvement of verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently under the guidance of directors/administrators.
- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with hospital administration, other departments, and external contacts to fulfill the program's mission.
- Intermediate knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., ACGME / LCME) and specialty requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage stress effectively.
- High moral integrity in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Competency in administrative, fiscal, data, and compliance management of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in GME / UME program coordination.
- Certification (TAGME or CGEA) is preferred.
