Role OverviewAs a Print Designer at Centric Brands, you will have the thrilling opportunity to leave your mark on some of the most iconic and beloved fashion brands in the industry. Your creativity and skills will be utilized to develop designs that align with style plans, sales objectives, and emerging trends. You will also be responsible for ensuring that your designs can be efficiently transformed into finished products at competitive price points. This involves collaboration with our technical design and production teams, as well as building strong relationships with external vendors and stakeholders. The challenges are invigorating, and the opportunities are limitless as you contribute your expertise in a vibrant, customer-focused culture that values your role as a key team member.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Print Designer plays a crucial role in the ongoing development of innovative and commercially viable print designs across all our soft accessory brands. These designs must accurately embody the brand's identity, meet market demands, and directly contribute to revenue growth.
- Conduct research to identify trends in prints and products.
- Execute print requirements across multiple brand licensees and internal private labels for various accounts.
- Maintain a digital library organized by brand.
- Deliver seasonal designs up to four times a year across all brands in our accessories division.
- Create designs in accordance with established product plans, sales needs, and emerging trends, aligned with the product development calendar.
- Develop print packages that include factory-ready layouts, pitch sheets, and pantone selections.
- Provide seasonal inspiration and ideas regarding new print techniques and market trends.
- Demonstrate a broad range of experience in graphic design, hand painting, and sketching, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment while remaining adaptable to meet tight deadlines.
- 5-7 years of experience in print design.
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience working with or for luxury brands.
- A strong passion for fashion and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented and creative.
- Strong creativity, technical skills, and the ability to sketch and hand paint.
- Extensive knowledge of color palettes, construction related to print execution, and the printing sample and production process.
- Expertise in print techniques and their appropriate applications, such as screen and digital printing.
- Experience with woven pattern work is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts or Fashion Design.
