Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including vascular, abdominal, and obstetric sonography.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and medical histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in diagnostic sonography and medical imaging.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS certification (RVT) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 2-5 years of experience in diagnostic sonography, depending on level.
  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, and equipment.
  • Proficient in performing sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AB-Abdomen certification.
  • BR-Breast certification.
  • FE-Fetal Echocardiography certification.
  • OB/GYN-Obstetrics & Gynecology certification.
  • PS-Pediatric Sonography certification.
  • RVT-Registered Vascular Technician certification.
