Job Title: Roark Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced retail professional to lead our San Francisco store team at Roark.

About the Role:

The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the Store Manager to drive business growth, manage guest experiences, and lead a high-performing team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operations/Sales/Customer Service:
    • Assist in growing revenue through exceptional customer service, employee relations, and operational excellence.
    • Support the Store Manager in meeting financial targets, including revenue plan, payroll budget, and overall store P&L.
    • Manage product flow, restocking, back of house operations, and daily store maintenance.
    • Uphold visual merchandising directives and maintain brand image.
    • Be a product expert, understand customer needs, and provide personalized recommendations.
    • Oversee cashwrap and POS procedures, reconciling tills and processing returns, exchanges, and discounts accurately.
  • People:
    • Partner with the Store Manager in supervising the store team, including recruiting, hiring, training, and career development.
    • Motivate and inspire staff to approach the sales floor with enthusiasm and outgoing energy.
    • Maintain a leadership presence and project a credible and confident image.
    • Share product knowledge with staff, provide coaching and feedback to foster productivity.
    • Assist with performance check-ins and develop talent to help others achieve their full potential.
  • Events/Marketing:
    • Collaborate on and promote all store events.
    • Seek out local collaborations with relevant brands, artists, musicians, and athletes to promote flagship location.
