Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for guiding and overseeing the warehouse team under the direction of the warehouse manager or supervisor. This role involves maintaining organized warehouse workspaces, assisting with timely shipping and receiving processes, adhering to safety regulations, and ensuring that all quality standards are upheld while facilitating the smooth flow of products through the production pipeline. The supervisor will also function as an integral team member within the department and the organization, performing various duties as needed to support the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all preferred work methods, safety protocols, and procedures in accordance with company standards.
  2. Ensure a safe working environment by promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or actions.
  3. Prepare for operations by obtaining the work schedule and daily production documentation.
  4. Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  5. Conduct daily safety inspections of assigned forklifts and pallet jacks as per company policy.
  6. Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as outlined by location and company guidelines.
  7. Assist warehouse personnel during both emergency and routine situations.
  8. Perform damage assessments on received items and communicate with supervisors regarding item removal in line with company policy.
  9. Execute tasks related to selection, shipping, receiving, forklift operations, inventory replenishment, returns, auditing, and other warehouse duties as required.
  10. Provide oversight, direction, and feedback on the work performed by associates in the designated area.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, loading dock, and trailers as necessary.
  12. Replace depleted batteries with charged ones and complete vehicle inspection checklists at the end of shifts.
  13. Support warehouse management as needed.
  14. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 PM until completion (end time may vary), 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Availability to work scheduled hours and required overtime.
  • Able to work in various temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
  • Capable of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Able to lift and stack products weighing between 10-35 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, including forklift and/or pallet jack operation.
  • Experience in a team lead role.
  • Background in administrative support.
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems such as Voxware, scanning technology, AS400, and formula-based pay plans.
  • Experience in foodservice distribution or a related industry.
  • OSHA Forklift operator certification.
