Catholic Health is seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and pleasant condition for residents, patients, and staff.
  • Sweep, damp mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Lift furniture, such as tables and chairs, for special assignments.
  • Receive and understand verbal and written assignments to carry out tasks successfully.
  • Work in all areas of the facility, including picking up trash, diapers, and soiled linen, and depositing them in the proper receptacles.
  • Pick up and prepare infectious waste for pickup by an outside company.
  • Deliver packages and articles when required.
  • Wash walls and windows inside and out.
  • Exercise good judgment when accomplishing tasks that involve residents, patients, or employees.
  • Ensure residents' and patients' right to privacy.

Requirements

  • Must read and write comprehensive English.
  • Elementary school level acceptable, high school equivalency preferred.
