Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant with Saint Joseph Health System, you will play a vital role in the ambulatory care setting, supporting physicians and other healthcare providers with direct and indirect patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing basic medical assisting procedures to ensure the care, comfort, and safety of patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
• Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent, with completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a medical assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
